A team of scientists led by MIT with talent from Microsoft and Adobe have created a visual microphone that uses a computer algorithm to analyze audio signals from objects in a video image. Noise is a vibration that carries and makes other items resonate and vibrate in turn. These visual microphones could record the minute vibrations into the conversation they were resonating.
CleverPet is an interactive device designed to keep your dog entertained by stimulating its mind and dispensing food as a reward. Fill it up with dry dog food and its software will run your pet through a selection of games designed to keep it stimulated and well-fed while you’re away.
A University in Peru, UTEC, has developed a billboard that doubles as an air purification system. Engineering students at UTEC noticed the incredible amount of pollution created by construction in the city and devised a way to help purify the air to make construction areas healthier for workers and residents alike.
